Hi. I'm Chris.
And I'm Alyssa.
And we're getting married.
We've known each other for a long time, but we only started dating last July. It was a whirlwind romance. And by that I mean it destroyed a lot of things and left a wide swath of chaos everywhere it went. And, as of late last month, we got engaged. We've got quite awhile left before the wedding. So we're going to use that time to go over every single thing we possibly can, not so that the wedding's perfect, but so that it's not a total disaster.
Yesterday we got a journal to start putting ideas and thoughts about our wedding into. I guess you can say we are officially planning our wedding. Yay. Most of the journal is still empty, and will probably fill with little side notes of all the good things David Tutera says and dreams up on his show. It's unlikely we will be able to afford any of his visions, but still, they're good ideas. Right?
I'm pretty sure I can tell you right now what our biggest problems will be. We can't agree on the size of the wedding party, we're probably not going to agree on a "theme", and she's going to want to spend so much money we could do several weddings with the flower budget alone. It's a tradition in my family that your third wedding is the one that you spend all the money on so I really don't want to blow a ton of cash on this one. Kidding. Sort of. But seriously. We know what our biggest challenges will be. It's all the small ones that are sure to pop up that this blog will probably be about. And more importantly it will be about the brilliant little ideas we collect and develop. Right now it's a project, in the end it will be a wedding. And not just any wedding...our wedding.
